It's OK To Be Alone
I wrote this song when my wife and son were on vacation in France and I couldn’t join because of prior commitments. The title is me trying to convince myself that I was okay while they were gone. I’m a homebody and love it when we we’re all together, especially when my daughter comes to visit! Whenever I’m feeling introspective, I listen to Wes Montgomery ballads. Although I could never come close to his technique and improvisational genius, I have listened to him so much that there are many of his lines throughout the solo stanzas of It’s OK To Be Alone.

Technical notes: 1965 Gibson ES175, flatwound strings and a 1967 Fender Deluxe Reverb. Usual signal path.
