Billet Doux

I’ve been traveling to/touring in Europe since the 90s and have been astounded by the youngsters there who can play Django Reinhardt tunes. I have literally seen a twelve year old gypsy boy, sitting on a stool with his baseball hat cocked to the side, ferociously chewing gum and barely paying attention to what he was playing on guitar, all the while doing the most incredible rendition of a Django song. That was how I first heard this song. I performed a live version on YouTube, if you’d like to search it out. Here, it is recorded with less “clams” than on the YouTube version.
