It's All Right There
I wanted to write this song because I wanted to let people inside my life - to let them know my roots. This is the story of me!! Every line is what happened and what led me to the place I am in now. It made me who I am today. When I was writing this with my sister, Marla, and Charley Stefl, I talked about things I had never talked about before. My deepest hurts are here in writing. I got very emotional during this writing process!! I admitted things I hadn't before!! I came to realize that a lot of the things that happened weren't my fault!! The best part was realizing that all those things made me who I am today!! It feels good to let those deep feelings out for all to see!!
(I love y'all Deena, Renee and Valeria!!)

There’s a 6 mile stretch of winding road
That runs through the place that I call home
Oh yeah there is
For every twist and every turn
There’s a memory I made and rubber I burned
It draws me back again
That little brick house where I did my cryin’
Laughin’ and lovin’ and bold face lyin’

Chorus:
It’s all right there
In the eyes and the smile
Livin’ in the heart of this wild child
Who I am, what I come from and where
It’s all right there

I ran around the neighborhood
With the kind of kids that couldn’t be good
Deena, Rena and Val
Late that April I turned 15
That boy named Jimmy took the best of me
I hated him for that
That hurt that I still hold inside
From the night that my friend Angie died

Repeat Chorus

Bridge:
Mama pouring Daddy’s whiskey out
Daddy naming that place “the devil’s town”
Me running away, but never breaking free
In the mirror staring back at me

Repeat Chorus

Yeah, it’s all right there
Spinning gravel on Pine Valley Road
Four wheelin’ at Rock-apulco
It’s all right there
Yeah, it’s all right there
