Life Goes On
Life Goes On

A phone call woke me up this morning
Freed me from a restless sleep
Caller said I’ve got some bad news
A friend of ours just took a leap
He said we should have seen it coming
Cause there was writing on the wall
Though I’m sure we all will miss him
Won’t change the fact that life goes on

Strom clouds out on the horizon
Charcoal waves and howling winds
I think it’s best to change direction
Abandon ship and sink or swim
When I was a younger being
I’d rather stand and fight then run
But now I’m older and much wiser
Won’t change the fact that life goes on

When I stop and look around me
All familiar things are gone
Though I’d rather have them different
Won’t change the fact that life goes on
Life goes on and on and on
Life goes on and on and on
Life goes on and on and on
Life goes on and on and on
