The Moment
The Moment
There's been time in my life that I've pondered
When I've come to a fork in the road
Had I taken a different direction
Where I'd go
Would there still be these blue skies above me
Would the sunlight continue to shine
Would our life paths have intersected
Would you still be mine
Well there's no way of telling the future
And no use in reliving the past
So I'll hold you for this precious moment
And I'll pray for this moment to last
Well I'm not sure how this all started
And I'm not sure how this will all end
But I know if I could do it over
I would again
Only next time I'd take it slower
Only living one day at a time
And I'd try not to be in a hurry
To make the climb
Repeat chorus
I know yesterday is behind me
And the end of the road is in sight
And I don't know where I'll be tomorrow
But I'm glad we are together tonight
So I thank you for taking a moment
And listening to me sing this song
I hope that the words will stay with you
When I'm gone
And I hope from this night you'll remember
About this moment in time that we shared
And until we all get back together
That you'll take care
Cause' there's no way of telling the future
And no use in reliving the past
And I thank you for this precious moment
And for me this moment will last
