Larry showed Joe this beautiful century-old Venezuelan waltz in 2022. He first learned it on the violin but then spent several months in the woodshed developing a banjo arrangement. Upon hearing it Larry began crafting a complementary harp arrangement. This track is the only true duet on the entire album, but it certainly doesn’t lack in soundscape. It also harkens back to the instrument pairing central to the duo’s identity: the llanera harp and the 5-string resonator banjo. Larry & Joe snuck this track into the mix to make sure no one overlooks how powerful and evocative this pairing can be.
