Steve Madewell - Just Don’t Want To Work Hard Any More
Just Don’t Want To Work Hard
Anymore

Morning light comes streaming in
I get up out of bed
Stumble round, head down stairs
As the cobwebs clear from my head

The dogs go out
The waters on
I go about my daily chores
It’s not that I
Want to change the world
Just don’t want to work hard any more

Oh too many times
I have had to find the state of mind
To pull myself right up off the floor
Now I’m feeling tired and sore
There’s not much left in store
I just don’t want to work hard anymore

On the road
My day’s begun
Even though I’m really good at what I do
I don’t mind
The same old thing
But we all like a little taste of something new
Whatever comes
I’ll be prepared

I guess I have seen it all before
Its not like I
Want to change the world
But I just don’t want to work hard any more

Setting Sun
Another day is done
Who knows what tomorrow has in store
It’s not that
I want to change the world
I just don’t want to work hard any more
