'Tis Sweet To Be Remembered (Alison Krauss)
We thought we had finished the album with John Prine’s gentle performance of Mac’s late-life rumination, “I Sang the Song,” but someone realized we needed a benediction, a devout invocation of blessedness. We found it in the form of “’Tis Sweet to be Remembered,” the song that launched Mac’s solo recording career in 1951. Alison Krauss came by, providing good cheer and extra blessedness.
