Heaven On My Mind - The Churchmen
This old car of mine is barely running
The paint is rusted out from end to end
But it always seems to get me where I’m going
Just down the road to church and back again
Pretty soon I won’t need transportation
I’ll leave this rusty car and drive away
With a pair of angels wings across my shoulders
I’ll be flying round the throne and singing praise
On my mind on my mind
Lately Heaven’s always on my mind
On my mind on my mind
Heaven’s in my heart and on my mind
This old house I’m livin’ in is barely standin’
I could have used a roof back years ago
And It’ll never see the front of Southern Living
But it’ll have to do a few more years or so
I’ve a brand new mansion waiting over yonder
Down at the end of golden avenue
And the Father’s only son will be my neighbor
I’d love to move today friend how’s bout you
On my mind on my mind
Lately Heaven’s always on my mind
On my mind on my mind
Heaven’s in my heart and on my mind
On my mind on my mind
Lately Heaven’s always on my mind
On my mind on my mind
Heaven’s in my heart and on my mind
