Why Did It Happen Again

I was in this band, Salamander, from 1993 to 1996. During that time we were asked to submit a song to radio station KWOD for a benefit CD.
It was for victims of a big flood that destroyed homes when levies overflowed. I wrote the music and radio listeners sent in lyrics that we had to make fit our song.
We played gigs all over the Sacramento, California and surrounding areas. We made our own CD in 1994 and had it in all the record stores, including all the Tower Records in the area. In 1996 our guitarist quit to go to law school.
These songs were recorded in 1996 with a new guitarist.

In 1998, the band had lost steam and I took the opportunity to move to Ashland, Oregon with my wife and began a 10 year period of performing solo bass/vocal gigs. In 2011 after having formed a band and writing dozens of songs, I recorded my first CD as the bandleader with legendary producer Sylvia Massy.
Since then, I've been writing and releasing music, usually with Sylvia producing.
