This song is John’s tribute to West Virginia musical legend Molly O’Day – sometimes called the “female Hank Williams.” John became acquainted with her husband, Lynn Davis, while working on an article about Molly for Goldenseal magazine. Struck by the deep and sincere feelings Lynn displayed for his late wife, John wrote this song the day Lynn Davis crossed over.
