Libbie Jo is a flutist/vocalist/writer. She says "Shepherd's Blooze" is her love song to the flute. Featured on her first album "The Flute & Voice of Libbie Jo" which was a finalist in the International Euroclubdejazz Competition co-sponsored by Sony.

Libbie Jo says the lyric for the song came to her around midnight when she was lying in bed reading. She put the book down, grabbed pencil and paper, wrote the idea down immediately, called her producer Jane Getz and told her she had the lead song for their album.
