08. Highway to Heaven (2:47)
Highway to Heaven
Just up ahead near the water shed past Johnsons old gas stand
There’s five miles of dusty dirt road that I ride as much as I can
Cause at the very last bend stands a little white house where my angels living
To me that stretch of back road is my highway to heaven
Now every day I can’t wait to make my way down that old dirt lane
Cause I know what I have waitin’ when I reach that little white gate
Big blue eyes and a heavenly smile ready to fly away again
In a pickup truck down this road I love my Highway to Heaven
She comes right in and were off again the same way that I can
To that spot where we won’t get caught loving the night away
But starting pretty soon we’re gonna have to move
The signs are startin’ to show
It was a small trail through a cornfield now it looks like a worn out road
Now every day I can’t wait to make my way down that old dirt lane
Cause I know what I have waitin’ when I reach that little white gate
Big blue eyes and a heavenly smile ready to fly away again
In a pickup truck down this road I love my Highway to Heaven
