4. ANTI-SOCIAL MEDIA BLUES
Woke myself up this morning, looked into my phone.
The messages it gave me, made me want to moan.
You know it really made me feel, I was not good enough for this world.
I did not come up to standard, I was not a shining pearl.

I went about my business, but from time to time I checked.
Did anyone still care? I turned into a sweating wreck.
You know it’s tough times anyway, and you know it’s getting worse.
If you can't come up to scratch, end up feeling like a jerk.

Sometimes I feel tall, sometimes so small.
Sometimes I see red, and then the blues get in my bed.
If I don't get a hundred likes, leaves me so uptight.
When friends post phoney joy, saying it’s the real McCoy.
I know it ain’t the whole truth, and they say that I am aloof.
Then I get to feel so alone, there's no place I can be at home.

I went out just afternoon, saw myself in the mirror.
I know I’ve never been perfect, but this time it made me shiver.
We’re all superficial things, paranoia is all it brings.
I'm scared if we live online, we can’t look each other in the eye.
