Biography
KoSha, born Inez Benson in Chicago, is one of the city's most prominent female hip-hop artists of today. With a sound that is truly unique to female hip-hop artists of today, she definitely will make her mark in the music industry. "I don't think my voice sounds anything like the females you hear in music today, I have a voice tone and style that people often compare to old school artists such as MC Lyte, Lady of Rage, and Queen Latifa, but with a modern day feel." "You remind me of a Queen Latifa, a today's Queen Latifa, and I really like how strong your vocals are. You are really contending with some of these guys out here. You are vey lyrical"- Syleena Johnson-National Recording R&B Artist.
Currently, KoSha is working on her second career album entitled "Simply Stated," which is slated for release early 2012. The album contains several radio friendly singles including "Hey You," "We On," and "Steppin Out" which features long time friend and fellow hip-hop artist Moesta. Singles will be available on Itunes and other digital distribution outlets for fans to purchase prior to the release of her album. Her team at Legit Money Enterprise is prepared for heavy marketing and promotion of her upcoming release through all possible means to ensure the maximum amount of exposure of her new music to existing fans and fans to be.
KoSha started her hip hop career early in 2004, first starting out as a producer/ engineer with her own production company, B-Smooth Productions, and then developing her emceeing skills. With this new found passion, she recorded songs and began performing locally. Soon thereafter, a buzz around town began to develop. She furthered to expose her music on the internet, only to increase the already created buzz. KoSha was spotlighted along with fellow emcee Moesta, on Chicago's #1 radio station 107.5 WGCI with their collaboration song "Taking Over".
In July of 2006, she was signed to a production deal with the legendary Chi- Sound Records ran by Mr. Carl Davis who has hosted artists such as Gene Chandler, Tyrone Davis, The Dells, Manchild featuring Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, and the Chi-Lites. KoSha quickly began increasing her performances, performing at the Black Arts Festival in Kalamazoo, MI, Ribs and Soul festival in Detroit, Mi. The single "Angel In Da Sky" featuring Moesta from her debut album entitled "B4 My Time...I Got Next!!! was featured in the BET movie "Reflections", directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love And Basketball). She has also been a two time recipient of the Annual Orkitt Award as Best New and Best Female Hip Hop Artist In Chicago and one of six finalists performing in Austin, TX at the Disc Makers/Billboard Independent Music World Series.
Due to certain circumstances, but within good terms, KoSha left Chi-Sound Records to pursue her own record label, Legit Money Enterprise. KoSha has
worked with multi-platinum and gold producer Kevin "K-Low" Rhames of LiveSquad who produced such artists as Tupac Shakur, Nas, Biggie, Digital Underground, just to name a few.
KoSha continues to stay self motivated, humble and determined to strive to be the best. One must agree that her determination and drive and the music she pours out from her soul will definitely put her in the rankings of a Mc Lyte, Queen Latifa and those who are considered to be female hip hop history makers. "I am an artist because I love and have a passion for music and entertaining. My music takes me away to a place where I am most happy and I want the world to experience it with me."

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
