Biography
Born in Los Angeles, California, Kim Grace has been a musical force to be reckoned with for as long as she can remember. Growing up in a strict Pentacostal family probably would have inhibited most people’s appreciation of music and its many forms, but not Kim Grace. Ms. Grace understood very early on the power and beauty of music regardless of if it was in the church or on the street. The ability music had to speak to a person’s heart and soul without ever having met that person is what made it impossible for her to not have music in her life. It became a love affair. Something Ms. Grace needed in order to survive was music. Despite being something she needed her encounters with her new secret love varied. Some escapades were sometimes no more than just listening to a song at the baby sitter’s house or having a friend sing a song at school and others may have been sneaking and listening to the radio at home or watching the videos that came on regular television. While listening to whatever music she could manage to get her hands on, Kim Grace was honing her performing skills regularly in church. By the age of 10 she was singing solo and amazing congregations around the city with her poise and vocal ability. Around the same time she also began playing the drums as well. Although church was her platform, music from various genres influenced her. So much so that she began changing lyrics to secular songs so that she could sing them in church. As Kim Grace grew into adulthood she participated in various vocal competitions and pageants and was either a winner or finalist in most of them, with each win and loss pushing Kim closer to her goal of becoming a recording artist. As her life experience increased, her songwriting did as well. Ms. Grace observed that the power and influence of a song was not just the music and melody but perhaps just as important were the words. With years of performing at weddings, graduations and having song placements in movies and live performances throughout Southern California, Ms. Kim Grace is ready to take the music world on one microphone at time. Kim Grace is a member of ASCAP and currently has publishing through ASCAP as well under the name GraDane. Possessing talent, drive, experience and the tenacious persistence it takes to make it in this unyielding industry, Kim Grace is destined for greatness. She sees nothing less than accomplishing her goal in establishing herself as an award-winning-peer sought-after song writer and a high grossing recording artist as well. Kim Grace, ladies and gentlemen, is ready and in full effect!
