Dad was the second son of music-loving Canadian patriots. His father was a farmer, carpenter and WW2 veteran and his mother a farmer, homemaker, and one of the best pie bakers I’ve ever known. He was raised on a small farm in Springfield, ON and worked the tobacco fields as a teenager. I often wonder about the early influences that made him into the man he became.
