Rachael Kilgour - How I Was Made
2. How I Was Made
I was a sentimental kid who longed to be the product of a great romance. Instead, I was born to two consistent and safe parents who, like many couples in well-worn marriages, seemed to tolerate one another pretty well. A spark between them, long before my time, brought them together across the US-Canada border and some deep sense of love and responsibility kept them together to the end. Their choices formed the relational patterns I have come to rely on and will spend eternity refining and rejecting and redefining.
