Biography
Joy Records Presents: www.joyrecords.com
New country artist, Karen Kay, entered the country music scene recording a duet with the legendary T. Graham Brown for her debut country album. She began her music career four years ago when she began writing Christian music. Since her mother, Karen is an accomplished pianist; she grew up with music surrounding her and is self taught on the piano and keyboard. She began recording her first CD in 2002 at Joy Records www.joyrecords.com, owned by George Arriola in her home town of El Paso, Texas. Last year she became George's partner at the studio where she continues to write and work on her own music and is also currently writing for other artists.
She is a gifted and passionate songwriter and enjoys expressing herself through her music. Although Karen Kay enjoys all styles of music, country music compliments her voice in such a way that her family and friends encouraged her to record her first country CD, entitled "Here's My Heart". This CD contains songs that stirred her soul and fit her style along with one she co-wrote with her partner George. This CD also features T.Graham Brown lending his amazing talents as they sing a duet on one of his songs, "Come Hell and High Water" and he also helps her out with one of his hits and one of her single releases to radio, "I'll Tell It Like It Used to Be". You will love this CD featuring her single releases Ill Tell It Like It Used To Be and These Are Them and containing so many other great songs which will move your soul.
