Kate MacLeod's Mind the Gap - Never Looked so Good to me Before
Kate MacLeod's Mind the Gap's “Never Looked So Good to Me Before” captures the bright and optimistic feeling of new love, that renews the soul and rejuvenates life. Kate chose to record this song with her band, Kate MacLeod's Mind the Gap. The band includes accompanying musicians Paul Hammerton on vocals and acoustic guitar, John Bryant on vocals and acoustic bass, and Matthew Metz on vocals and mandolin.
Mind the Gap has banded together since Kate's been living part-time in Harpers Ferry, WV, looking after an elderly parent. New friends and musical experiences in the area have given Kate new musical inspiration. As usual, Kate is difficult to place in a particular genre, the band hopes the listeners can hear the classic sounds of early country, folk, and other styles that inform Kate’s eclectic music.
Kate MacLeod is an award-winning songwriter and instrumentalist. She performs her original music on acoustic guitar, fiddle, and Appalachian mountain dulcimer. Since Kate’s first recording produced by Charles Sawtelle of Hot Rize, her songs have been recorded by other musicians from California to Europe. Kate has toured in the United States, Canada, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, and the UK. She was chosen for the Best of the West Award, 2019, by the FARWest region of the Folk Alliance International.
