One time not so long ago the love of God I did not know
I lived my life to my own desires with no humility
I’d lay me down each night to sleep I felt no need the Lord to seek
Until one night I heard a voice and it said this to me
Tonight what if your soul was due and the chilly hand of death touched you

My heart was trembling deep within fear as the voice of God fell on my ear
These are the words that came from me as I cried out on my knees
