According to D'Amato this song "A gift from above". "I was driving down and long a winding road in my home state of Tennessee. I was listening to the news and a report came on about another senseless shooting. As I heard that report, the lyrics and melody of "Walk Away" started to come to me. I had to pull over to the side of the road and write it all down.
Whenever I receive a song in its entirety, it seems as if its more a gift from above than something I've had a hand in creating."
Walk Away is a song about how we all hurt each other from time to time and need to walk away from the anger and pain and walk in grace and love for one another.
