Biography

Bear Grass Records recording artist John Patrick Williams creates songs that are what music should be - they are honest and from the heart. Citing influences as diverse as John Prine, Honey Boy Williams , and David Brobmerg, Williams has a unique writing style, which some have said, "Pulls you into his soul and lets you have a look around." Refusing to be categorized into a specific genre, John's writing crosses between blues, country, Americana and folk.

Originally from the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, John has now made his home in Hot Springs, Montana, where he has performed at various venues in the Montana region. With over 20 years experience performing and writing songs, John is living his dream writing and performing his original songs for audiences all over the North West.

John is currently in the studio putting the final tracks down on his first CD project with Bear Grass Records, to be tentatively teleased in the winter of 2007.
