Too Small A Word
Too Small A Word

Love is too small a word
To say how I feel for you
As small as a drop to show
An ocean’s worth of water
So deep and wide
That it moves as the moon moves
Just to just say that it’s wet
That's what it’s like to say I love you

As big as the sky is
As we look out from here
With all of its stars and planets and
Light and dark and mystery
As forever as time
And as constantly moving
Just to just say that it’s blue
That's what it’s like to say I love you

But just as a day plus a day
plus a day can make a lifetime
maybe love takes a lifetime
of saying to be true

Love is too small a word
But it’s all that I have for now
It's like trying to blow away
A mountain with a whisper
But I’ll say it again
And if all that you know for sure
Is the tiniest part
Well at least that will be something
