In our 1997 trip up the Mississippi River on Captain Bob’s trawler “Another Chance,” we stopped in Davenport, Iowa, one of the Quad Cities.
After our boat docked, our kids, Marty and I rooted for the Davenport women’s softball team on a hot, humid summer evening. The Quad Cites are Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa, and Moline and Rock Island, Illinois.
