I scored documentary films and exhibits for The Lincoln Museum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. During a residency at the museum, I taught this tune to a room full of eager Suzuki fiddlers. While the parents filmed, I led the kids marching around the museum’s theatre, all of us
playing. Marty brought up the rear, playing rhythm guitar.
I dedicate this tune to the good people of Fort Wayne, especially including Chief Little Turtle. He and his tribe valiantly defended their land here against the marauding U.S. Army, which ultimately defeated him under the leadership of General Anthony Wayne.
