The rents are going higher, the wages are staying low
I don’t wanna sleep in my car on the side of the road
This is the time I have some bad news
Here we are people with the unaffordable housing blues

Now don’t get me wrong I’m not one to complain
You want to make a million dollars and buy yourself a airplane
When you are flying high above us below we are gonna loose
I hate to tell ya I got the unaffordable housing blues

So the time has come I believe we should really share
Especially if you have a house sitting empty somewhere
