Jim and Lynna Woolsey release, “Sorry Into Joy” from their album “Walk Into The Water.” The song showcases Jim’s soulful and award winning vocal while Lynna along with Dave Foster add their seasoned harmonies. Together they resonate the traditional lonesome bluegrass sound. Once again, Jim and Lynna have brought a traditional sound with a heartfelt delivery.

Jim penned this song after losing his grandpa to lung cancer. He inspired Jim to play the guitar and made sure he found a home in a bluegrass band when he was only fifteen. The song describes overpowering grief after losing a person in your life. Jim wrote it after pastor Johnny Decker quoted a passage about mourning a passing when you know they are moving on to a better place. It is a very natural process to mourn or be sad, and hard to turn that sorrow into joy. We want them to stay, but God calls them home.

“We all feel sorrow at the passing of a loved one and yet we as Christians celebrate their entrance into Heaven. I did fell great sorrow over losing grandpa and after a time I found a way to turn that sorrow into joy , “ Jim said. “That was an emotion I felt had to be conveyed in a song.

“We love writing with our faith in mind. We always try to write with a positive spin on our songs and this is just one example of that. We were so happy to have our bandmates adding their talents to this CD. I am still amazed at how they interpreted every song on this project!”
