Jim and Lynna Woolsey deliver their second single, “In Your Children’s Eyes” from the forthcoming album “Walk Into The Water.” The song showcases Jim’s soulful and award winning vocal while Lynna along with Dave Foster add their seasoned harmonies. Together they resonate the traditional lonesome bluegrass sound. Once again, Jim and Lynna have brought a traditional sound with a heartfelt delivery.
The song written by the couple is a story about someone who has trouble with addiction whether it be pills or drinking. It describes a struggle between hanging on to the past or moving forward and creating a new life. It is about how we don’t consider our children when we devote more time to our addiction than family.
“I think everyone knows someone who has been in this type of situation before. It’s hard to talk to your friend or loved one about this difficult topic, so Lynna and I wrote a song in hopes of touching someone who could benefit from the message. I think we put a message in every song we write or at least we try, “ Jim said.
“We love writing with our faith in mind. We always try to write with a positive spin on our songs and this is just one example of that. We were so happy to have our bandmates adding their talents to this CD. I am still amazed at how they interpreted every song on this project!”
