This song is based on a true story. Jack and I share the fact that our fathers wanted us to learn how to play Mother Maybelle Carter’s Wildwood Flower, and they were proud of our efforts. It surely isn’t easy for any of us, but an important task. More importantly Mother Maybelle’s influence on modern music, especially guitar, is immense!
