Biography
Jenny Jo Perdue is a one-of-a-kind artist. She has soul in her voice, blues in her blood, and country in her roots. Jenny began singing on stage with her father when she was three years old, and credits rock legend Gary S. Paxton as her first influence. Over the years, Jenny has sang and recorded many styles of music. Jenny has been recording since she was seven years old and is a 20 year old phenomenon. She has one of the most versatile voices in music today. She has a "Joplinesque" voice, in that she can sing a Janis Joplin song and you think Janis is right there. She can also belt out a Tanya Tucker tune and you close your eyes and think you are hearing Tanya. Jenny is also compared to Bobbie Gentry and Anne Murray. She is a little lady with a huge voice that brings the house down. Everywhere Jenny goes, she gets a great reception from the crowd. She currently performs at a weekly theater variety show. Not only is Jenny a singer, she is a very talented musician as well, playing drums, acoustic guitar, and bass guitar. She also is a gifted lyricist. Jenny is a very seasoned singer, musician, and performer to be so young. She just finished a new album in Nashville back in October which will be titled "Route 66". The album was produced by Harvey Perdue and co-produced by the legendary studio engineer Buck Jarrell. The three songs posted on this site are from the new album. The album release date is to be announced. Jenny's current album "Cadillac Blood" is available for purchase at www.rockofagessongs.com.
