Biography
-2012-
Jeff Pitchell was first recognized as the “Best Guitarist in Connecticut” at the tender age of 15, and he never looked back. Now an internationally acclaimed, multi-award winning singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor, Jeff has continued winning fans around the globe and adding to his impressive list of accomplishments: he has recorded with Dave Mason, Clarence Clemons and James Cotton, opened for countless major artists, and been a special guest at B.B. King’s shows; his award-winning song “Eye for and Eye” was chosen and recorded by John Mayall; his previous CD, Heavy Hitter, spent 12 weeks on the Billboard Blues Charts, peaking at #7; he has performed live on national radio and television shows and events, including a Boston Red Sox game and the Don Imus Show.
Lately Jeff has been working with more heavy hitters… playing sold-out shows alongside Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame nominee Jay Geils (of the J. Geils Band), and penning songs along with Grammy-winning co-writers Gary Nicholson (Delbert McClinton) and Jeff Silbar (Wind Beneath My Wings) for an upcoming film at the personal request of two-time Emmy winner and Oscar Nominee James Woods entitled American Girl. Jeff’s new CD, AMERICAN GIRL features songs written for the movie, four songs featuring and produced by special guest guitarist Jay Geils (including two J. Geils Band classics), other Jeff Pitchell originals and some straight-up Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
