There's Gotta Be A God Out There
THERE'S GOTTA BE A GOD OUT THERE
(Patrick Jason Matthews/Blu Sanders/Phil Barton)

Sitting on the porch watching the sun begin to shine
While it's still raining, it's so amazing
All the leaves are dying on the trees
But they're going out blazing, it's so amazing
Not a day goes by that I don't swear
There's gotta be a God out there

Just the other day I saw a random act of kindness
In this cruel city, and it stayed with me
A stranger stopped a homeless man, put a hundred in his cup
'Cause it was empty, and it hit me
If there are ordinary angels everywhere
There's gotta be a God out there

There are days I have my doubts
Like everybody else I'm only human
Then I take a look around
And I get overwhelmed by what I'm seeing
And I can't help believing

Have you ever been so low that you can't get up on your own
And you're just helpless, and out of chances
You're about to lose it all and there's no one you can call
So you turn to what you've never turned to
Then you get that answered prayer
There's gotta be a God out there

There are days I have my doubts
Like everybody else I'm only human
Then I take a look around
And I get overwhelmed by what I'm seeing
And I can't help believing there's gotta be a God out there
