Send An Angel of Mercy

I used to hear my dear Mother
saying our prayers each night
down on bended knees
she'd send my name up high.

She prayed for the Saviour to guide me
and keep me out of harms way
send an angel of mercy to watch oer my soul
and be with me day by day.

I drifted away from the good things
mama taught me as a kid
I came back to Godly living
thanks to praying that my mama did

I got in my share of trouble
in spite of my dear mothers prayers
through all of my worldly living
mother prayed for my soul to be spared
