Biography
JCK describe their music as Haberdash Rap, because they take their influences from a mixed bag of sources such as Hip Hop, Pop, Rock, Soul, Funk and Industrial music. James Castady-Kristament's rapping, songwriting and production combined with Lou Ludbrook's trademark soulful female vocals, is a force to be reckoned with. Recognised for their potential in 2004, James and Lou were signed to respected Indie label Pagan/Antenna records and later by Locked Down and Dope Records. The group started out entering music competitions with local urban radio stations which gave them a sizeable amount of radio airplay and the first tastes of recognition. Soon after, they were successful in receiving funding from New Zealand on Air and recorded their debut single 'Freak in the club' with an accompanying music video, that took the nation by storm and played on all of New Zealand's music television shows for a good part of a year, and is still playing now from time to time. The music is gritty, aggressive, soulful, fun and masterful with a strong steady flow that demands attention. Watch out for the upcoming music videos for their singles 'Spirit x' and 'Radio song' and also the album '5 years' is available through 'I tunes', 'Napster' and 'CD Baby'. www.cdbaby.com/cd/jck

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
