Appreciating the warmth and laid-back earnestness of people living traditional lives on the American Gulf Coast. I wrote this song while visiting my grandsons on the Texas Gulf Coast, but it also hearkens back to an earlier time in my life when my family vacationed each summer on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Time seems to move differently and more slowly in those close-knit coast towns and hamlets.
