David Grindstaff signs with Mountain Fever Records
Mountain Fever Records proudly announced today that they had reached a deal with David Grindstaff. David is a senior at ETSU and will graduate this winter.
After receiving a copy of Grindstaff's self-released CD Here & Now, Mark Hodges of Mountain Fever Records, contacted him to talk about the project. "I felt it was such a great CD and David had alot of potential as an artist," Hodges continued. "So we decided to re-release the CD on Mountain Fever Records and try to get the project the attention it truly deserves." It was during these conversations with Grindstaff that Hodges became aware of The Troubadours. "After hearing these guys pick and sing, we just really felt like the right thing to do was to put our efforts behind the whole band as well."
The project also features guest performances by many of his musical heroes such as Tim Stafford, who also contributed three original songs to the CD, Adam Steffey and Jim Van Cleve. The first single, "Another Lonely Day", is available now through Airplay Direct and Radio Submit.
The Troubadours will begin recording their debut CD for Mountain Fever Records this winter with an expected release late spring 2011. In the meantime, Mountain Fever Records is re-releasing David Grindstaff's solo project, Here & Now and will ship the project immediately to bluegrass radio.
