HEATHER NEWMAN began her musical journey as a child in Omaha, NE, and kicked it into high gear with her recent move to Kansas City, MO, where she joined the NIck Schnebelen Band and was featured on their 2016 VizzTone release, LIVE AT KNUCKLEHEADS Vol 1. She toured, listened, learned, but most importantly she sang her blues and prepared herself for whatever was to happen next. The beginning of 2017 brought her much joy as she stepped up and took center stage in her own soulful blues band.
Heather gained fans and momentum as a powerhouse vocalist and solid bass player along with her three band members, Keith Ladd - guitar, Ryan Flemmer - keys, Cole Dillingham - drums. The band puts on an energetic, unique, and soulful stage performance that always leaves listeners wanting more. Now, as 2017 comes to an end, Heather will share the magic of what hard work can do with the release of her first studio album, BURN ME ALIVE.
BURN ME ALIVE features guest appearances by NIck Schnebelen and Michael Lefever, and has a whole new set of original songs about Heather’s journey. From love to loneliness, traveling through the mountains and playing in clubs by the tracks, Heather’s sultry vocals will paint you a picture of what the blues means to her.
