The Murray Family started singing in 1997 with Ernie, Connie, Chris and Jason. They had a four part harmony and Chris played lead and Ernie played rhythm on the acoustic guitars. God blessed them and opened up many wonderful opportunities for them to travel and minister in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and North Carolina. After a few years, Jason learned to play the acoustic bass as well as the Upright "doghouse." The family prayed and made changes to the group by adding Chris's wife, Cindy and Jason's wife, Emily. They started singing with The Murray Family in 2007. Cindy brought a wonderful lead and harmony vocal to the group. Emily also sings lead and harmony vocals and also plays the piano for the family. This brought another dimension to The Murray Family. They bring many genres of music and sound. The Murray Family has one main desire and that is to lift up the name of Jesus and share the love of God to all that they meet. Ernie and Connie were married on July 29, 1967. They have the two sons, Chris and Jason. Ernie was a pastor for many years and has preached all over the country. His wife Connie has a true gift on her life to sing. Chris started playing guitar around the age of 14. God blessed him and he excelled from there and continued to learn more and more. Chris married Cindy on July 8, 1995 and God blessed them with two beautiful girls, Shelby and Kylie. Jason started singing at a young age and was called into the ministry at 14. Jason married Emily on July 27, 2002. God blessed them with two daughters, Brynna and Alivia and a son Levi. God has blessed them and they are looking forward to what He has in store. They are willing servants praying for opportunities to spread the love of Jesus and sing for his glory. They are a tight family and love working and traveling together.
