In Bluegrass music, no act has contributed more, or taken it further, than Sonny and Bobby--the Osborne Brothers.

As teenagers, Sonny and Bobby were profoundly moved by the powerful, dynamic sounds of the then-new style of Country music which we now call Bluegrass. After “paying their dues” as sidemen in other bands, the two brothers joined forces in 1953 and Country music gained one of its premier Bluegrass acts. From their stunning and revolutionary vocal arrangements, through their experiments with electric instruments and string arrangements, to the recording of an unequalled array of hit songs, the Osbornes’ continual expansion of their artistic horizons has earned them broader acceptance than any other Bluegrass act. Through personal appearances, they have taken their music to college campuses, Bluegrass festivals, Europe, the clubs of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and even the White House.

This collection features some of Sonny and Bobby’s most-requested numbers. It superbly shows the excellence and innovation of the one and only OSBORNE BROTHERS.
