Happy Place - Clayton Smalley
Happy Place Clayton Smalley/John Griffin
Seems like I can’t turn on my TV
Or go scrolling through my newsfeed
Without something there to bring me down
Some kind of crises I can do nothing about
It makes me want to grab my fishing gear
Pack a cooler full of cold beer
Point my pickup to my fishing hole
Best way I know to let my troubles go
Is standing on the shoreline
Soaking up the sunshine
Finding the right bait is my only care
Enjoying the warm breeze
Taking it easy
While the whole world loses its mind
You know I’ll be alright
As long as the fish will bite
Sometimes when life deals you a hard pill
The best prescription is to take a chill
Make a beeline for your happy place
If you need me, I’ll be down by the lake
Standing on the shoreline
Soaking up the sunshine
Finding the right bait is my only care
Enjoying the warm breeze
Taking it easy
While the whole world loses its mind
You know I’ll be alright
As long as the fish will bite
It’s gonna be alright
I think I just got a bite
Fish on
