Your Trouble Is Mine (2:50)

This is an autobiographical account of talking a very good friend out of ending their own life. I think it's a very positive message about simply being present to listen to someone else's story without trying to "fix" them.
I wrote the song with Andy Joslin when I lived in Oregon, probably 2013. I recorded the beds over in Warsaw, Poland with Chris Aiken on the drums in 2015. Gord Maxwell added his stellar background vocals in 2016, and all the files lay dormant in my hard drive until the global pandemic of 2019. I massaged and tweaked all the songs, added keyboards and percussion, and learned how to mix via the miracle of youtube. Here it is 2021, and I have a song I am extremely proud of.
