Biography
My name is Gordon Court.
I am a singer and song writer living in Fargo, North Dakota.
I have been involved in music since childhood. I have been performing locally in the Fargo-Moorhead area and throughout the Midwest for about 9 years after moving from the Twin Cities 10 years ago.
I am a classically trained vocalist, and was a member of the Accapella Concert Choir at St. Cloud State University for 2 years. I also was a winner of Minnesota Scholastic Regional and State Vocal Competitions, in High School, at Albany High, and took voice lessons for 4 years.
I do sets up to 4 hours, of Acoustic Americana.
This is my term for the blend of original music, 60’s/70’s acoustic folk/rock music covers such as Eagles, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Jim Croce and many others, Country, and contemporary Christian music, that I can play.
I have written between 40 and 50 of my own songs, and mix them in with the covers.
I usually put lists of the songs that I can perform on the tables, and allow the patron’s to choose what they want to hear.
It’s like being a human Juke Box.
I have had many positive responses to this style of performance, as well as my Bose L1 PA system.
The L1 is, in my opinion, the best system on the market for single performers and small groups in small to medium sized venues.
