It seemed like the right time, we’ve been so good, saving dimes, It’s now or never, let’s take that leap of faith
It’s been a hard few years, and despite the tears, we made it through, to the other side
So, let’s get out of here, and swallow the fear, and make our dreams come true
You don’t know until you try, what’s out there on the other side, let’s go and live our best life

Living by the lake, sure cures the heartache
We needed to slow down, and trade a city, for a town
It’s not a perfect life, but it sure does fit us right
Living by the lake, was worth the wait

It’s so beautiful here, among the rabbits and deer, it’s a true paradise
So many birds, where to begin, gold finches, wrens and robins, and of course our favorite, the blue bird
So, we fill the feeders with seeds, and plant only native trees, because, this is their home too
Living in harmony, with the animals and trees, is all, we really need

Living by the lake, sure cures the heartache
We needed to slow down, and trade a city, for a town
It’s not a perfect life, but it sure does fit us right
Living by the lake, was worth the wait

It’s not a small thing, when you find yourself, living in a magic house

Living by the lake, sure cures the heartache
We needed to slow down, and trade a city, for a town
It’s not a perfect life, but it sure does fit us right
Living by the lake, was worth the wait
