Guitar Shorty - Too Late
Kearney & Rockstead, High Flying Blues Music, BMI
This legendary Texas-born, Florida-raised guitar wild man has been tearing up stages for seven decades, delivering outrageous guitar solos along with his raw, rough vocals. He’s gigged with Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, T-Bone Walker, Guitar Slim and other blues luminaries, and was a major influence on young Jimi Hendrix. He began recording as a teenager in 1957 and has cut a dozen albums, three for Alligator. Although he’s in his 80s now, he still delivers energy-packed live shows, digging into every song with reckless abandon.
