Carey Bell - I Got A Rich Man’s Woman
Welch, BMG Platinum Songs obo Arc Music, BMI

Mississippi-born Carey Bell came to Chicago as a teenager, was mentored by the immortal Big Walter Horton, gigged for tips in the Maxwell Street Market, led his own bands, and was chosen by both Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon to play in their bands. He became one of the city’s most in-demand session players, and recorded a dozen albums as a leader, sometimes with Lurrie Bell, his son, on guitar. Carey was featured on our Living Chicago Blues series, recorded with Big Walter, joined James Cotton, Junior Wells and Billy Branch on Harp Attack! and cut two albums of his own for Alligator, plus a duet album with his son Lurrie. I Got A Rich Man’s Woman features Carl Weathersby playing slide guitar with a cigarette lighter!
