Unfinished Business
Unfinished Business – By Gary D. Ward

I still have the passion, I still have the dream
I just don't have the patience, after everything I've seen
After all the double talk and lying, Conniving and deceit I'm just tired

Well I'm home and but I'm still weary, I'm just trying to unwind
But the road isn't far behind me; I still have trail dust in my eyes
And when I think about the distance, it kind of blows my mind, and I’m just tired

Unfinished business is still weighing on my mind
And long ago still lingers, I never felt the years go by
But there’s still Unfinished business, and it’s still weighing on my mind

I still see the faces of friends I haven't seen in years
I still hear their distant voices ringing in my ears
Their naivety and innocence, it can bring me right to tears, but I’ll be fine

They say you can't go home again, but I'd really like to try
Put all this stuff behind me, try to live a different life
I want to pick up where I left off, at least I’d like to try, to get it right

Unfinished business is still weighing on my mind
And long ago still lingers, I never felt the years go by
But there’s still Unfinished business, and it’s still weighing on my mind
