GEORGE IN THE BUSH
If you came to me this morning
Telling me about the war
I would run away and look for George
He’d be hidden in a bush
Away from Arabian sands
While his troops would get killed in the sand
And I would say “oh George!”
What have you done ?
Why did you send your troops again ?
And I would say “Oh Lord”
What has he done ?
How could he send his kids again ?
Send his kids again
In the desert sands
Lives a lonely man
So far from the greedy ones
He looks at the stars
Listens to the sounds
Planes are coming from the North
The lambs are afraid
Running all around
While the planes are dropping their bombs
And I would say “oh George!”
What have you done ?
Why did you send your troops again ?
And I would say “oh George!”
What have you done ?
How could you be so deep insane ?
Be so deep insane
If you came to me this evening
Telling me the war is ending
I would run away and look for George
He’d be hidden in a bush
Away from Arabian sands
Where thousands of innocent ones are lying
And I would say “oh George!”
What have you done ?
Why did you send your troops again ?
And I would say “oh George!”
What have you done ?
How could you be so deep insane ?
Be so deep insane
In the desert sands
Lived a lonely one
Burried with his lambs at once
He’s free like a bird now
In the windy skies
And he’s never heard of George ...
In the desert sands
Lived a lonely one
Burried with his lambs at once
He’s free like a bird now
In the windy skies
And he’s never heard of George ...
And I would say “oh George!”
What have you done ?
Why did you send your troops again ?
And I would say “oh George!”
What have you done ?
How could you be so deep insane ?
Be so deep insane
