Robin and Linda Williams - The Flimflam Blues
“What does one do when faced with an enormously privileged and self-centered con man who, after a lifetime of deceit, has amassed immense wealth and uses his riches to skirt laws and societal norms, all while accumulating significant political power,” asks Robin Williams, half of the venerable duo, Robin and Linda Williams. “When finally held accountable by the principles and dictates of a democratic society, he claims to be a victim and uses his money and influence to undermine that very society. What does one do?

“We are Robin and Linda Williams, and over more than 50 years we’ve driven in excess of two million miles, played more than six thousand concerts, and performed on hundreds of radio shows (thank you, Garrison Keillor). We’ve mingled with movie stars in a Robert Altman film, recorded 24 albums, and appeared with and had our songs covered by renowned musicians. We are seasoned songwriters who have seen a lot.

“So, what do we do when we’re faced with a con man? We write a song—’The Flimflam Blues.’”
