Winter's Coming

Lookin' out across the river
As it's rollin' by
Reflections of the sun
Beatin' from the mornin' sky
Feel the breeze a-blowin'
Leavin' ripples on the stream
Lookin' like a postcard
Somethin' from an evening dream

The leaves are turnin' colors
smell of fall is in the air
Takin' in the sights
Watchin' from my rockin' chair
Birds are flyin' south
Liftin' off and stayin' low
Their gettin' outta town
Before the first winter snow

Season's changin' summer
Passed us by
Winter's comin' sun is droppin'
From the sky
Daylight hours gettin' shorter
By the day
Gonna need a jacket just to go out and play

Sun is goin' down
Sky is gettin' dark by five
Nothin' left to do
If you wanna go outside
Once I get the feelin'
A lot of snow is on the way
Buckle down inside
Waitin' for the month of May
